THYMUSKIN

For over 30 years, Thymuskin® has been successfully used to reinforce hair and to improve scalp coverage. The result is longer, thicker hair with greater coverage for both men and women and is well tolerated.

Hair loss, also known as alopecia, thinning of the hair, or baldness can affect men, women and even children of all ages. It has been suggested that between 40% of women and 80% of men suffer from some type of hair loss around the world (i.e. University of Pennsylvania 2012). In the U.S., over 35 million men and a further 21 million women are affected by hair loss (1). There are many factors that contribute to hair loss such as genetics, medication, hormones, stress, depression and even a poor diet. There are also many distinct types of hair loss; this is important to understand in order to find the correct options and strategies to help it.

The biologically active GKL-02 ingredient complex of peptides and proteins strengthens hair roots and infuses vital nutrients into the hair and hair follicle to reduce hair fall and improve hair condition.

HAIR LOSS SOLUTIONS

CAUSE OF HAIR LOSS

There are several reasons why hair loss occurs, and a correct diagnosis can greatly aid in the improvement thereof. Genetics, diet, hormones, stress, lifestyle and even medication can all tie into why patients experience hair loss. Thymuskin can be used alone or as part of a multi-modal treatment program to aid in the restoration of hair.

TYPES OF HAIR LOSS

The medical term for hair loss is alopecia and is divided into several categories, each with distinct patterns of hair loss. Alopecia androgentica often occurs as thinning around the hair path for women and as a receding hairline or crown bald patch in men. Alopedia diffusa is a general hair thinning across the entire scalp while alopecia areata appears as bald patches on one or more places on the skull. Alopecia medicamentosa is hair loss as a result of medication, such as chemotherapy, and can result in total baldness.
